Two Nurses...

...in our family!!! My oldest daughter just graduated from Nursing School! My youngest, who is already an RN, came home this week to Pin her sister at the Nurses Pinning Ceremony. Very exciting!

We are very proud of both of our children. They are amazing women who love the Lord, love their families and love others! The one Scripture that I think of so often when it comes to my girls is:

3 John 4: I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

They bring me great joy!!!

I can't believe...

...how fast time flies by!!! Last week was very busy between work, babysitting the grandkids and then away for business training for a couple of days, working on a special gift for a special lady, Bible study, church...all this among the usuals, shopping, cooking, laundry, etc. Phew! I'm tired just going back over last week.

Can you keep a secret? You know the business trip I was talking about? Well, it wasn't all business :) I traveled with my boss who happens to be one of my closest friends who has very similar interests and hobbies. We left work early last Wednesday and went Quilt Shop hopping before we checked into our hotel rooms. We found three of the nicest quilt shops in Upstate New York!!!
  • Sew Many Quilts "...so little time" is located in Johnson City, New York. You can find them on the web at  Sew Many Quilts
  • Patchwork Plus is located in Marcellus, New York. This shop was amazing!!! They were a featured shop in 2009 in Better Homes and Gardens Quilt Sampler. So worth the trip. You can find them on the web at Patchwork Plus
  • Calico Gals is located in Syracuse, New York and is another shop that was featured in Better Homes and Gardens Quilt Sampler. Great place to shop! They can be found on the web at Calico Gals
As you can see from the picture, I didn't come home empty handed!!! Now, the business training...zzzzzzzzzz!
