Finished...Well Sort of :)

The only thing I have left to do now is handstitch the binding!!! What a great way to relax on a cold, snowy afternoon!!! So glad I made the decision to join the party. So many great people were there creating some wonderful quilts, aprons, embroidery as well as those who were sorting and organizing. We watched some awesome movies and had a fine assortment of snacks!!!

Decisions! Decisions!

Now that I've gotten this far - how do I decide to quilt my Mug Mat? Hmmmmm!!!!

I decided to watch the movie No Reservations and there's a commercial on now. I will go decide the snack I would like to go with the herbal tea I would like to have. Ooooh, but which one? Decisions!!! Decisions!!!

Word Up Sewing Party

I've decided to join a Word Up Sewing Party! The idea was to come up with a word that could have a huge impact on your life. I've gone over and over and over in my head what word I would choose and have come up with what I think may be exactly the one I'm looking for (at least I think so :)

My word for the year is, believe it or not, Decisive!!! I struggle a lot of time with making decisions. I struggled with joining the Word Up challenge. I struggled with joining a Valentine Swap with my Old Farmhouse Gathering Team. I struggled with joining a Mug Mat swap with my friend Donna at Brynwood Needleworks. Truth be told, I struggle with lots of decisions that I need to make. I make them, I second guess myself, I change my mind, I decide on something else, I second guess myself . . . you get the picture.

So today, after struggling for weeks, I have decided  that my word for this year is Decisive!!! So, I have decided to join the Word Up Sewing Party! I have decided to join the Valentine Swap! I have decided to join the Mug Mat swap!

I have decided what I will be working on today. Here's a glimpse of the fabrics that I will be using today to sew up a couple of Mug Mats:

I have also decided that I will finish what I have set out to do today. Will keep you posted on my progress!!!

You Could Knock Me Over With A Feather!!!

I admit that I thoroughly enjoy signing up for my fellow bloggers giveaways!!! I have won a few and am always so excited to receive my goodies in the mail.

Today I was fortunate to be able to leave work early and stop at the Post Office to pick up my mail. I saw the little yellow card in my mailbox and knew that my package must be here from Linda at Parker's Paradise!!! When my Postmaster Joe asked where my car was parked, I was confused. Why would he need to know where I was parked??? When he came around with this huge box, I was even more confused. It couldn't be my win!!! I didn't order anything and I was sure my husband didn't order anything either. Could it be my win?
When Joe put the box in the back of my car, I was still confused but then he tipped the box for me to see the return address and sure enough it was from Linda!!!!!!!! Holy cow - what did I actually win???!!!???

I couldn't wait to get home and tear through the box. I have to tell you I'm still shocked at the generosity of this awesome lady!!! Even my dog Maggie was excited to see what was in the box. (Sorry Maggie - no cookies for you in there!) Here are some pics I wanted to share:

Stop by and visit Linda at Parker's Paradise. She is one awesome lady!!!

'By Candlelight' by YorkiesPrimitives

Candles were a necessity in earlier times to read, sew or get around in the dark. Now we use them for the aromas or romance as well as when necessary. Here at Old Farmhouse Gathering, we have a variety of candles, candle mats and candle boards for you to enjoy and decorate for Valentines Day or leave out all year.
