The Best Laid Plans

At this point in my life, you would think I would know better!!! I always have the best intentions but it never fails, a wrench is thrown in the works. I do have to say though, I have learned to take things in stride and not fret. I like to have my "ducks in a row" so to speak. I like to make lists and check things off as I go. I like to know what I'm doing tomorrow a day or two in advance.

I was supposed to get started with The Farmer's Wife Quilt-a-long a couple of weeks ago. Was to start posting the 1st of February and wouldn't you know it was sick for the first two weeks.

Just when I'm starting to feel better and need to get motivated, my computer begins to have woes!!! I realized that my life is wrapped up in my computer. I have EVERYTHING and I mean everything on it. Years of taxes, business info and contacts, bible study notes, photos of kids, grandkids, holidays and special events, embroidery files, sewing patterns, and the list goes on.

Well, I'm back up and running thanks to my husband! He is such a wonderfully talented and gifted man. He is able to troubleshoot most anything and has the patience to fix most anything. He took apart my computer not once but twice and has it running again without losing anything!!! Not only that, our television decided to quit a couple of weeks ago, he opened it up, saw the problem, ordered the parts and now it's working again.

He's even started working with our 2 year old grandson, building and fixing!!!

Send him my way..I'm sitting with my laptop..cord stratigically placed..as it no longer stays in my computer without tape..and odd placement. AND as you said..EVERYTHING is on my puter..a new one just isn't in the cards right now!!! Katie

Oh Lucy, woes me, don't they always come in threes? Well, I'm happy you're feeling better and your hubby has fixed everything :o) They are handy to have around yes :) It's good he's starting the little one out at this age. Teach them all he can. I know some grown men who don't know how to change the oil in a car, bless their hearts :)
Now you can get onward and upward!
