I Am Blessed

Looking at the picture one might think that I'm blessed because of that little darling baby. And you'd be right!!! That is my third grandchild, Lyla. She was born nearly 3 weeks ago and is a priceless peanut!

If asked, most of us would say that we are blessed with spouses, children, grandchildren, parents, grandparents, siblings, friends and a whole number of other people or reasons could and should come to mind. I'd be one right there with you saying that I too was blessed with a whole array of people in my life.

Today, my post may be a little different for some. It's not a special day - no one's birthday, no anniversary, and I never knew Columbus so he doesn't even count. Not everyone could say they were blessed in the same way I am.

I would like to share with you how blessed I am with my Son-in-law, Don!!! My daughter is married to a wonderful man of twelve years. He is the father of my three grandchildren. He is a hard worker. He works full-time. He is a full-time (or nearly) college student. He loves my daughter. He loves his children. He loves the Lord. He is faithful to God, his family, his church. He is raising his children to love God, to love their parents, to love their grandparents, to love others, to love nature and the list goes on and on. Not only that, he is funny, generous, caring, kind and considerate.

My Son-in-law sounds perfect, doesn't he? Well, he would probably laugh and tell you he's far from perfect. But, you know what, he's pretty darn close to it (in my eyes)!!!

I love you Don and I thank God that He chose to give us you as a gift to our family. Thank you for loving our daughter and our grandchildren. You are loved, appreciated, respected, prayed over and make us proud to be called your in-laws!!! You mean more to us than you know.

I am blessed!!!

Hi Lucy,
Yes you are blessed. I heard a quote once that said, “The most important thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother”. ~Rev. Theodore Hesburgh
Your SIL is setting a great example!
Your new little addition is just precious!!
Enjoy,
Barb
