We Have a Winner!!!
Just a few things before I announce the winner of the Spring Giveaway!!! :)
Today is Palm Sunday!!! In fulfillment of prophecy (Isaiah 62:11 & Zechariah 9:9), Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. The crowds lined the street shouting "Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord." (Psalm 118:25-26) They placed palm branches and robes in front of Jesus. This was particularly disturbing to the religious leaders who were jealous of Jesus. They demanded that Jesus silence the crowd, but he responded that even if the crowd were silent, the stones would cry out.
The events of the next week would forever change the world. Jesus entered Jerusalem and the crowd welcomed him as a king. By the end of the week they were demanding his death. His followers abandoned him in fear. None of his close followers had really understood the events of Palm Sunday and Holy Week until after Jesus returned. They had all expected Jesus to be an earthly king, but God had given them something so much better - an open door into a Kingdom that would never end.
Now, I would like to sing ~ Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Jayne of PrimWyoGirl! Happy Birthday to you!!! Even though you did not win the Spring Giveaway, if you would send me your name and address, I would love to send you a little somethin' somethin' to help you celebrate!
Okay, drumroll please!!! The winner of the Spring Giveaway is....

It's been great!!!
My daughter came home for a visit this week. We had a great time. She kicked butt at Monopoly!!! Wonderful to have my family around me - husband. both daughters, son-in-law, grandkids, and parents. There's nothing better than family - whether it's your own, extended, church, etc., we all need each other!!!
I won a giveaway!!!! Thanks so much to Brenda at The Rusty Thimble for picking me! Stop by and check out her blog. She is an amazing artist. You will absolutely love her creations. Just look at what I won! (No, no you can't have it - sorry.)
I've had some wonderful comments and emails from some great blogging friends. Thank you all! I wish I could tell you how grateful I truly am.
Then to top it off this is what I saw yesterday (okay, okay I'm a day late, but I believe better late than never :)

Have you ever...
...thought about grace?
One thing that I keep going over and over and over in my head is grace. What is grace? Grace has a lot of meanings but the one that I keep thinking about is: mercy; clemency; pardon: an act of grace. I made a mistake this past week (an honest mistake) and before I knew what hit me I feel that I'm being dragged through the mud.
I struggle (maybe we all do at times) with judging others, especially motives. I continually have to remind myself that I cannot see the heart of a person to know exactly what they are thinking, feeling, etc. Even though there have been many times that I have been judged harshly in the past, this time has truly hit me the hardest.
I'm not quite sure why I'm handling this situation the way I am, why I'm allowing it to affect me the way it is but it certainly is a lesson for me to be careful when someone else has done something I think is wrong. Perhaps it is God speaking to my heart reminding me that He has extended His grace to me (grace that I didn't deserve) and I need to extend grace to others as well.

A Message From Emily!
For all who have been praying for Emily, thank you!!! Below is a note posted from Emily and her family:
Hey Folks, WE ARE HOME!! Still trying to catch our breath and relying completely on the Lord because Mom and Dad are scared!! Emily is very happy about being home! Having round the clock nurses was awesome!!
Keep standing with us as we desperately rely on the prayers, feel the prayers and KNOW our Loving God hears your pleas on our behalf!
We love you and thank you more than we can ever adequately express!!

Please continue...
...to pray for Emily. They are looking to sending her home on Thursday. Sometimes I wonder...do they send patients home too soon? Isn't a liver transplant one that would warrant an extended time if not for anything else but for observation? How many patients are sent home only to return with complications? What about psychologically with a surgery such as this? So - please continue to pray for Emily. Her family is very excited about the prognosis as are we all, however, some of us have concerns over rushing her home.
But, what do I know anyway? I'm not a doctor, just one who has questions!

God Answers
I spoke with my daughter this morning and Emily's surgery was nearly finished and getting ready to go to recovery. The doctor said that the liver was a near match!!! God hears, God answers and miracles still happen.
What if a liver couldn't be found and Emily died, would God still have heard and answered? Absolutely!!! He knows exactly what we need, when we need it and how we need it. He sees the beginning and the end and He does nothing outside of His will. We don't know what's best for us, but He does. God is good - ALWAYS!!!

Keep praying!!!
They found a liver for Emily. Surgery is scheduled for midnight tonight which will take approx 6-8 hours. The next prayer request is that she will not reject the liver. Will update again tomorrow. Thank you all for praying for Emily and her family. It's a long, emotional road.
By the way, have I told you all how much I appreciate you and are thankful that you are my friends?

Update
Quick update on Emily. They have her listed on the top of the donor list for a liver. Her kidneys are now being affected and she may need dialysis. The doctors feel that she has an inherited disease called Wilson's Disease where there is too much copper in the tissue, which ultimately affects the liver. Please pray that a liver will be found within the next day or two. There is no time to type match for a live donor. Time is of the essence.
I can't even begin to imagine what this family is experiencing. They truly need our prayers.

Urgent!!!
My daughter called, she is an RN in the Surgical Trauma ICU at Duke. She is also a Teen Leader with her church. One of the teens, Emily, age 15, is in critical condition due to liver failure. She is in need of a liver transplant within the next two days. If she does not receive the transplant, this young girl will die. Please pray for her and her family. They are type matching family members first and then go from there. If they find a live donor, the recovery for the donor is long and painful.
Needless to say, the family, friends, church members, etc. are in shock. This young girl has been well up until last night when she said that she wasn't feeling well. Pray for the strength of the family, and wisdom for the doctors and nurses.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

So grateful...
...for the amazing people I have met these past few months. Your hearts are bigger than I could have ever thought possible.
Today I was featured on:
There are no words to really say how I'm feeling right now. Even though it was a question/answer interview, she sought me out because she enjoyed my work. She didn't have to but did! Again, I don't even really know how to say thank you in a way that truly expresses how thankful I am. I praise God for each one of you and pray for you all.
