Valentine Cookies

I am by no means an experienced cookie baker or decorator. I just love to try my hand at something new and challenge myself to see if I can actually accomplish something that scares me to death!!! Yes...scares me to death!

Last Easter was my first try at making and decorating Sugar Cookies. I found that it wasn't hard just time consuming.  I also made mainly small cookies which took more time to roll, cut and bake the dough.

This past Christmas I decided to try my hand again at making and decorating Sugar Cookies. I loved the colors of blue and white. My favorite ones were the cookies that look like a snow globe scene. I overdid it because I needed 6 dozen for a cookie exchange as well as for gift giving and entertaining. I baked and decorated 12 dozen cookies which took me about 30 hours from start to finish.

Well this Friday I'm having a Ladies Night and thought it would be nice to have Valentine Cookies for a dessert. I'm not a professional but I'm really happy with the way they turned out. I think the ladies will enjoy them too.
