I am learning that you are never too old for Personal Development. I am halfway through the reading of The Slight Edge Secret to a Successful Life and it is powerful!!! I highly recommend EVERYONE, young or old, read (or listen) to The Slight Edge Secret to a Successful Life.

Below you will also find the full audio book on YouTube which can be converted to an MP3 using the free YouTube to MP3 converter. This will allow you to be able to listen to the audio book without the need for the internet. You can listen in the car, while you are cleaning, etc. For instructions on how to convert YouTube to MP3, see below.

Instructions to convert YouTube to MP3:

Start playing the YouTube video above. In the top right corner, you will see the following symbol:

This symbol gives you options to share in a variety of ways. Click on the share symbol (icon). You will now see a few options including the URL link to the video. Highlight the link and right click your mouse. Copy the link.

Click on the following to open another window in your browser. This will take you to the YouTube to MP3 converter.

Once the window opens, paste the YouTube URL link in the box provided and click go. A new window will open. Directly below where it says that the conversion is complete will be another link that says "CLICK HERE to get your Download Link". Click on that. When the next window opens, you will have the opportunity to Download your MP3. This will now download your MP3 into your "Downloads" file.

My suggestion - read at least 10 - 20 minutes EVERY day or at the very minimum, 10 pages a day.

Quilted Crow Fabric and Quilt Shop

What a beautiful Memorial Day Weekend. On Saturday I decided to take a drive out to Harpursville, New York to visit Peg at the Quilted Crow. Peg's shop is nestled on a tree lined country road. Just pulling in the driveway makes you feel like you are home. When you walk into her shop, the scent from her candle of the month is warm and inviting.

Peg is right there to greet you at the door with a sweet smile and a spirit to match. She has taken special care to the details in her shop and is readily available to answer any questions you may have. Peg is remarkably talented and her skills in pattern designing shine through in print as well as can be seen in the publication, Primitive Quilts and Projects.

Peg has a fantastic shop filled with bolt upon bolt of the loveliest fabrics, hand-dyed wool, books, patterns, threads and notions. Summer Layered Chicken Salad

Summer Layered Chicken Salad

Ingredients:

Salad:

7 cups torn romaine lettuce (approx. 1 head)

4 cups rotisserie chicken, cut up

1 cup crumbled gorgonzola or feta cheese

1 cup pecan halves

1 qt fresh strawberries, quartered

Dressing:

1/3 cup olive or vegetable oil

2 TBS sugar or Truvia (equivalent)

1/2 tsp salt

3 TBS red wine vinegar

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1 clove finely chopped garlic

Directions:

In a deep 3-quart salad bowl, place half of the lettuce. Layer with chicken, cheese, pecan halves, remaining lettuce and strawberries.

In a small bowl, mix dressing ingredients with wire whisk until well blended. Just before serving, pour dressing over salad.

Serves 6.
