Not Sure What These Are Called But They Sure Are Pretty!

This is a photo of a hanging basket my mom has hanging in the front of her house. It is absolutely gorgeous!!! There's one problem though. We don't know what the name of these flowers are called and the best way to care for them. I wish that florists would make sure they include a tag and instructions with their plants. Makes it a whole lot easier.

Do you know what they are??? Click on the photos for a larger view.

Hey Lucy-
I do believe those are million bells (or Calibrachoa if you want the "real" name)....They're wonderfully hardy in our parts - can tolerate full (to part) sun. They don't like to be overly wet - let the top soil dry a wee bit before watering or they can develop root rot. But really and truly easy - kind of like a mini petunia - but they don't need dead-heading as they are self-cleaning. I love them!! Good luck! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

I was thinking they looked like petunias, but of course I could be wrong. There are lots of different varieties http://www.google.com/search?q=petunia&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=i24&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&prmd=ivns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=4zcDTriUDKy20AHZxOnyDQ&ved=0CCgQsAQ&biw=1902&bih=916. Good luck and have a great day! :-)

Yep I was thinking petunias as well. My pink ones did look beautiful until they got battered by heavy rain.

Robin got it right...I'm glad she could spell the 'technical' name, because I don't know if I could have!
I love them as well and always buy several colors each year. Enjoy.
